Philip Giordano

His illustrations transcend time and space, suspended in a fairy-tale dimension.

Bio

The creativity of Philip Giordano, born in 1980, was always destined be boundless.

His training, however, is very Italian: he attended the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera, the European Institute of Design in Milan and took a Masters in Animation Techniques in Turin.
It is not easy to define his style: childlike and poetic in parts, with a gentle touch but clearly hiding deeper meanings. His illustrations transcend time and space, suspended in a fairy- tale dimension.

Experience

His illustrated books have been translated worldwide and he has worked with magazines, museums, foundations and international publishing houses.
He has won a series of international prizes: the Silver Medal at the Society of Illustrators in New York, the White Raven at the International Youth Library in Munich and the International Award for Illustration at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair.
