Ale Giorgini
As a child he feasted on American films and TV series. And today he enjoys recreating the pop atmosphere of the 80s.
Ale Giorgini began
drawing as a child
and has never stopped.
It’s hard to believe he studied to become a surveyor, a course that in any case he hated. Yet, if we look carefully, we can see that his linear and precise style partly derives from this training.
Otherwise, in every illustration he does he gives free vent to all his imagination, nurtured since he was small by his love of TV series.
As well as drawing Ale also finds time to teach illustration at the Scuola Internazionale di Comics and to be artistic director of the Berga Urban Museum and Illustri Festival.
And in the context of his commitment to Illustri he also bears a large share of the merit for T-SHIRT.IT, believing in this project from the very beginning. In short, Ale Giorgini combines a rare mixture of artistic talent and a business brain.
Over the years
he has worked
for clients such as:
Jeep, Puma, Warner Bros, Boom Studios, Kinder Ferrero, Disney Entertainment, Foot Locker, Fandango, Faber-Castell, Sony Pictures, Emirates, MTV, Wired UK, L’Espresso, Il Sole 24 Ore and Corriere della Sera.
He has participated in exhibitions and events in New York, Zurich, Sidney, Vienna, Paris, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Melbourne.
His drawings have been exhibited at the Hero Complex Gallery and at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles, at the Nucleus Gallery in Alhambra, California, at Vienna’s Improper Walls, at the Art by Friends Gallery in Annecy, at the Sakura Gallery in Paris and at the Bottleneck Gallery in New York.
Again in New York he was selected for inclusion in the 58th Exhibition and Annual of the Society of Illustrators.
